After a journey of over 30 years of experience primarily in family law, I made the decision to put my experience and compassion to serve my El Paso community. I wanted to make a difference in the Court system and decided to run for office for Judge of the 388th District family court.
In a year filled with challenges, a pandemic, the Citizens of El Paso entrusted me as your judicial officer in a landslide victory in the fall of 2020. The campaign was a real challenge but was made possible by hundreds of supporters and volunteers that trusted my passion and desires to help families with legal matters despite who they were or where they came from.
The 388th District Family Court is known for respecting the Court’s docket, the litigants and the attorney’s time in addition to all the Court legal processes, the Court we have gone beyond the walls of the Courthouse to reach the El Pasoan community, we collected donation items for the children, assisted at many food banks, helped the less fortunate of our city, we have accepted multiple invitations to empower our children on careers days at local schools, we have had the opportunity to sponsor special Olympics participants and provide the coordination of pro bono services in family law among other social issues. I am a strong believer in giving back to our community and protecting children.
I have been blessed and must credit my overall success to God, my Family, The Staff of the 388th District Court.
